Phippsburg Community Climate Vulnerability Assessment

The Town of Phippsburg is partnering with the Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI) and Siler Climate Consulting (SCC) to conduct a community climate vulnerability assessment, lead the development of the climate resilience recommendations, and provide the town with a community- and data- informed prioritized sequence of resilience recommendations. To do so, GMRI and SCC will use a transparent and community-engaged process to gather community needs and concerns, identify priority climate hazards, and assess coastal flooding impacts. We will then utilize the climate hazard information and data collected through this assessment alongside community input to develop near- and long-term climate resilience recommendations for the town and its residents.
