Siler Climate Consulting is working with the Town of Hampton to support two primary areas of work: (1) equitable community engagement and (2) grant writing. To support equitable community engagement, SCC will provide a mix of mentorship, strategy-building, and creative problem-solving as the Town facilitates discussions about adaptation pathways and priorities with residents experiencing chronic tidal flooding. SCC will help identify priority audiences, co-develop engagement strategies, and guide the evaluation of those strategies to support relationship-building over time.
As engagement progresses and community priorities emerge, SCC will then work with the Town to develop a grant proposal to seek further funding for next steps in the development of adaptation pathways that reflect community priorities and projected impacts from present and future flood risks.
This work is funded through Project Builder, a program managed by Piscataqua Region Estuaries Partnership with funding from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation through Great Bay 2030.
