A Phased Approach to Efficiency: Community Outreach Program & LED Lighting Upgrade

Siler Climate Consulting will work with the Town of Pownal on a project that weaves together energy efficiency actions for municipal operations with meaningful community engagement that focuses on community members most impacted by electricity costs.

This project aims to reduce energy use and costs throughout the Town of Pownal through two primary activities:

  1. Upgrading the lighting to the town offices, voting room, stage room, meeting room and exterior entrance to be efficient and consistent throughout the building;

  2. and facilitating a community education program to support lighting upgrades in residential properties that centers around seniors and residents living on a fixed income.

SCC will provide capacity to municipal staff by managing vendor coordination in addition to developing and implementing an engagement plan that centers local knowledge of the people who call Pownal home and the priorities of socially vulnerable populations in town
