Ndemazea Fonkem brings a background in urban planning, food systems, and environmental policy with a proven record of impactful public service and research. With a B.A. in Landscape and Urban Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and certificates in Environmental Studies and Integrative Design, Ndemazea brings interdisciplinary expertise to roles at the intersection of climate resilience, transportation, and equity. She has key roles at institutions such as the National League of Cities, Baltimore Metropolitan Council, and the University of Wisconsin Extension, where they led research, policy analysis, and community engagement initiatives.
